My Journey
I have spent the last seven years groping my way through one of the most difficult things any person can do. Trying to find myself again after a major life event. Honestly, the hardest thing about all of it was having no one that I could express my emotions to. Someone to hear that I was in pain or in need. I didn't need someone to fix anything. I just needed someone to listen.
I tried therapy and was basically fired by my therapist. Her comment was "You already know what to do. I really don't know what I have to offer you at this point." That was unhelpful to say the least.
I have come out the other side stronger and better but felt like there was something I could offer. For my entire life, complete strangers have walked up to me and told me their problems and I listen. That is my gift. I listen. I make people feel seen and heard. Let me help you feel seen and heard.
